Happy and fun, relaxed Oxwich Bay Hotel Swansea Wedding- Dan & Meg

Handmade details and pure happiness

When I first met up with Dan & Meg (and their wonderfully fluffy dog Hilde) for a Coffee, I could immediately tell how genuinely lovely this pair was. One of the most polite, passionate and exciting meetings I have ever had, which of course filled me with so much excitement for the wedding, and I was DEFINITELY not disappointed!

I swapped between both groom and bridal preparations on the morning of the wedding, in the secret garden at The Oxwich Bay Hotel, and the main hotel respectively. It was so great to see and catch both sides of preparations, overall there was a lot of immediate chatting about everything from Dan’s custom made cufflinks - modelled by himself and cast by a friend - to Meg’s handmade dress, which was made by her Nan (how incredible is that!?) It’s all about the small details for me, and they all made the day so much more personal.

As a quick aside from Dan & Meg for a moment, I must say how easy to get along with and full of laughs their families and friends were throughout the day! It was awesome to see everyone enjoying themselves so much, as an obvious knock on effect of Dan & Meg’s own enjoyment!

An emotional and intimate ceremony was followed by some family group shots on the lawn outside, leading perfectly into a SHOWER of colourful natural confetti. Smiles all round, and hair full of petals.

After heading up to see the marquee and grab some drinks, as soon as Dan & Meg were ready, we took a peaceful stroll onto Oxwich beach itself for some couple portrait photography. Totally focused on one another rather than on me, it was a delight to document some natural, peaceful and colourful images, just as these guys are naturally, together.

The evening reception included some more emotional (and truly witty) speeches, and a very colourful and energetic dancefloor!

I’d love to extend another massive and sincere thanks to Dan & Meg for letting me be their Oxwich Bay Hotel wedding photographer, I hope you enjoy some previews below!
