Let me tell you the story of how I was fortunate enough to travel up to the breathtaking Loch Lomond to document a very special Scottish adventure between two lovely people.

I was absolutely ecstatic when, following a slight change of plans, Rhodri and Laura asked if they could fly me up to Scotland with them to be their wedding photographer for their Loch Lomond dream wedding! They were both completely awesome to work with, from the easy-going planning right through to the bouncing Scottish party and beyond, I would firstly like to say a huge, heartfelt thanks to them both for letting me be a part of their day!

I travelled up from Cardiff the day before the wedding to an overcast Glasgow, with the weather forecast that week being full of clouds and showers, not uncommon for the UK, but the wedding was set to be one to remember either way. What I didnt expect is what I woke up to the morning of the wedding itself. BRIGHT. GLORIOUS. SUNSHINE. I was absolutely chuffed for Rhodri & Laura, and glad I packed my suncream!

I photographed both the groom and bridal preparations in the morning, where I was immediately offered (and had to decline, of course) a shot of whisky after being mistaken for a wedding guest at the boys' flat. It was great fun from the very start and was a sign of things to come.

I was entirely blown away by the outdoor ceremony location, right on the Loch, which looked more like the mediterranean than Scotland. The photos will have to speak for themselves.

Such an incredible amount of thought and planning went into the day, with such authentic details including a bagpiper and the BOUNCING traditional Scottish ceilidh at the end of the evening reception to name a few. I've never seen a more packed dancefloor.

Perfect weather also meant that skinny dipping in the Loch was inevitable. I got far more than I bargained for by standing on the jetty, let's just say that some of the photos are unusable. After an early start, staying through until the party was really kicking, and also seeing familiar faces at breakfast the following morning was simply lovely. The whole trip left me feeling creatively fulfilled and bursting with excitement to get some previews posted!

Thank you and congratulations again Mr & Mrs Davies!

I hope you enjoy a small amount of personal highlights below!
