Before the wedding

Naomi & Ian were a dream to work with from the outset, hearing their plans I immediately knew their day would be as chilled and fun as they were! We went to Oxwich Bay during the evening for an INCREDIBLE sunset pre-wedding session, which was instantly hands down one of my favourites ever as this lovely pair were so so natural together despite telling me they were nervous beforehand, and the light was simply perfect!

The Day Itself

A lovely chilled morning involved capturing some bridal preparations at Morgans Hotel ahead of all the excitement, before joining Ian and around 20 guests for a wonderfully intimate ceremony! I absolutely LOVE smaller weddings where you can really have a good chat with guests and spend time with everyone throughout the day, without feeling like you have to almost tick people off as you say hello to hundreds of people, its always lovely and meaningful doing things this way I believe.

After a flurry of confetti and some group photographs outside in the sun, the rest of the afternoon involved an awesome array of sweets, doughnuts, drinks and a good laugh with everyone. Ian, Naomi and I popped out for a short walk in the sun to slow things down and take some relaxed, colourful couple portraits in the surrounding area of Swansea Marina, outside the museum, which continued the theme from their pre-wedding session of just being awesome together and a pleasure to photograph.

We re-joined guests and headed upstairs for food, under the skylight which lit up the square table wonderfully. Amazing flowers (shout out to The Dancing Daffodil) and bronze elements of the table settings looked really gorgeous as you can see! Following some emotional speeches, a good crowd of evening guests came and joined the party, making the atmosphere even more fun! The dancefloor was in full swing, especially when The Villagers began their set.

The whole day was just a pleasure to witness and document, and I couldn’t be happier for such a genuinely lovely couple and their family and friends. Thanks again Ian & Naomi for having me as your Morgans Hotel Swansea wedding photographer!
