Lewis & Delun’s Sant Ffraed House Wedding | Autumn Luxury Meets Laughter - Photography Highlights

A Luxury Sant Ffraed House Wedding with Familiar Faces

What a day this was! Lewis & Delun’s wedding at Sant Ffraed House by Oldwalls was one to remember, full of laughter, energy, and plenty of familiar faces.

This was actually the third wedding I’ve photographed within the same friendship group, and as always, it felt like turning up to a big reunion. There’s something so special about documenting moments like these when everyone already feels like old friends.

The Venue – Sant Ffraed House by Oldwalls

As a Sant Ffraed House wedding photographer, I can confidently say this venue never disappoints. It’s grand and luxurious yet still feels warm and inviting which is the perfect backdrop for a day full of personality and joy.

The autumn colours made the grounds even more magical, with golden tones across the trees and gardens. Everywhere you turn, there’s an incredible backdrop which is ideal for my documentary wedding photography approach, which focuses on real, unposed moments!

Morning Preparations at Jenny’s Lodge

The day began at Jenny’s Lodge, the on-site accommodation at Sant Ffraed. I loved this setup, the girls were downstairs, the boys upstairs — both buzzing with excitement after what I heard was a lively pre-wedding night!

Hair and makeup were beautifully handled by The Bridal Gals (@thebridalgals), keeping the morning relaxed, fun, and full of laughter.

The Ceremony

The ceremony space looked and most importantly smelled incredible thanks to Florrie & Jo Florist (florrieandjo.co.uk). Their flowers framed the room beautifully and were elegant, fresh, and full of colour.

As guests arrived, Mared the harpist (maredemyr.com) played softly in the background, creating the perfect atmosphere for what was an emotional, joy-filled ceremony. I don’t think I’ve ever heard such a loud cheer from everyone as when the couple were announced as husband and wife!

The Wedding Party

I’d love to take a moment and give a very big shoutout to Lewis & Delun’s wedding party, a few of whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing at previous weddings. What a team!

From handing out G&Ts and fixing bow ties in the morning, to keeping things organised later in the day, they were a dream to work with. It genuinely makes such a difference when the bridal party brings that kind of positive, helpful energy.

Relaxed Couple Portraits

After the ceremony, we wandered around the grounds for some relaxed portraits. No forced posing, just a fun stroll and a few quiet moments together while I captured things naturally, it always helps when people are genuinely brilliant together as Lewis & Delun are!

With the soft autumn light and the grand backdrop of Sant Ffraed House, everything came together perfectly.

Reception in the K Room

Then it was onto the K Room, and wow, what a setup! The elegant styling mixed perfectly with the warm autumn tones. Once again, the display of flowers blew everyone away!

As Lewis & Delun made their entrance, guests were instantly on their feet singing, cheering, and dancing their way into the evening.

Speeches were both heartfelt and hilarious, with Lewis’s grandad stealing the show by offering a literal slice of toast as his toast to the happy couple. A legendary move!

Evening Celebrations & Editorial Flash Portraits

Before the party really kicked off, Lewis & Delun made some seriously chic outfit changes, and of course, we couldn’t resist documenting this!

We headed back to the main house for some high-fashion, direct-flash editorial portraits, which gave a totally different look to the daytime photos. Stylish, bold, and effortlessly cool, these two absolutely nailed it.

Then it was onto what I’m sure was one of the best dancefloors Sant Ffraed House has ever seen. The Hat & The Fiddle Band were on fire as always, keeping the energy sky-high and the dancefloor packed all night long.

Final Thoughts

Lewis & Delun’s wedding was everything I love about what I do. It was relaxed, full of laughter, and packed with personality. Shooting weddings like this reminds me why I adore my job, capturing real moments, genuine emotion, and a dancefloor that no one wants to leave.
