Super fun, relaxed and colourful wedding at Coed Weddings
Ella and Duncan's wedding at Coed Weddings was just a delight to capture. Going back through and editing this gallery has had me smiling non-stop! It was my first time shooting at this venue which is always fresh and exciting, and it also happened to be the largest wedding they had hosted so far! Meeting with Ella & Duncan before the day for a cup of tea, I instantly got the impression that their wedding would be just pure laughter and great times, and it absolutely surpassed these expectations!
The weather played its part of course with intermittent downpours of rain, but Ella and Duncan's positivity was bloody infectious, everyone was dead keen to get out in it and have the best time regardless. Despite the showers, they laughed and danced their way through the day. During a brief break in the rain (for the most part) for couple photos, a massive gust of wind sent Ella's veil on an adventure across the field, retrieved heroically by Duncan from a nearby bush that brought smiles all around.
The atmosphere was pure joy. The indoor barn setup added to the cosiness, and the super-friendly staff made everyone feel at ease. Guests were just so energetic (I expected nothing less after meeting the couple) - and they definitely brought the party vibes, fueled by an amazing band (The Orange Circus Band) that lit up the dance floor.
The speeches were both touching and just plain hilarious, with hand written poems and proper lovely stories capturing the essence of the day. One of my favourite features about the venue was the upstairs mezzanine, making those real candid shots even easier, and also made for other charming moments, such as guests showering confetti down from above as Ella and Duncan departed the ceremony.
Ella and Duncan's wedding was an embodiment of love, fun, and unity. Their readiness to embrace the day's surprises reflected their adventurous spirits. It was an honor to capture their genuine happiness and the start of their new journey together.
